Any source file larger than 2Mb (2048kb) will be rejected by the DearneWiki server when uploading. It is recommended that you use your computer image software to set your default camera format files to a more practical size that is slightly lower or equal to the maximum uploadable file size allowed, (2Mb) when transferring them to the DearneWiki vault. For your convenience Every file uploaded will be resized automatically to a maximum aspect ratio of 600px and maximum quality of 70%. On average, a 2Mb photo when uploaded will be optimised to around 70Kb. The best method is to size your photos offline and upload the in the batch uploader in quantities of 5 per session. Most computers are equiped with image resizing and resolution optimising software. Aim to make your images longest side, width or height a maximum of 600pixels with resolution of 72 pixels/inch before uploading for best results. By following this guideline, you will facilitate the upload process and the creation of your pictures and thumbnail will be a successful internet quality.
